What I’ve Been Up to Lately

Here are a couple of activities I’ve been up to the past couple of weeks.

-House Hunting – I’ve been looking for a house for the past 3 weeks or so. This was sparked by my trip to Austin (well Buda), visiting old college friends. I’m at the point of actually looking at houses. I’ve done the credit check, found a realtor, qualified for a house loan, and narrow down areas around town of interest. More on this later.

Ecommerce, it has begun.

It has begun, I have set up the account, thought of a name, and am ready for business. I saw what my brother was doing and knew it was time for me to get into the game of ecommerce. I rejected the notion of even participating, and even was almost bullied into doing something I didn’t want to do (at the time) by my dad.

What the Fuck am I Talking About?

I have joined the saturated field of ecommerce, and in this case, selling antique/vintage shoes and purses through Etsy.com.

Part 3 of Making Work Work for Me

The experiment is done.

I will continue to do what I need to do in order to get better.

But, what did I learn from this experiment?

Between the planning, doing, and development of systems, I have noticed there will always be distractions. I wanted to get so much more done, but with planned meetings, a loss of motivation, and putting a foundation for success in place, I noticed that I was still running around feeling lost. However, this awareness has given me more ideas to prepare myself for incidence like these. For instance:

-Generate multiple types or one comprehensive calendar that shows when projects are due, what events I have for the week, the time constraints of deadlines, and the projected amount of time I’m going to use on a project.
