Why Should You Read My Blog?

Why should you read my….
blog? Why should you spend your important time reading what I write for fun? Why should you listen to a 27 year old municipal worker, who doesn’t have all of it figured out himself? Why should you listen to a dreamer and a person who goes on rants about following your passions so much? Why should you listen to somebody who is pretty much in the same position in life tell you life lessons?

What’s My Story
Those are very good questions and this very question can be ask for anyone who is online trying to give valid advice to people. I started this blog almost 4 years ago on a thought of just to write a paragraph. I didn’t know what I wanted to do at the time and went to work like any other person to figure out what I really wanted to do with my life. I have a very interesting look on life and thought it would be a chance for me to tell my story and also figure out what I want to do for me. Each day is precious, we hear that statement so many times, and don’t realize what it means until we are pushed beyond our comfort level. I was telling a reader of my blog a year or so ago that we are all lost, we sit in our cube or where ever thinking about the future and not living in the moment. We really don’t know what we want to do and we know what we are presently doing isn’t it.

Experience is King
So lets go back to the questions up top. Through my writings and defiant actions I have accomplished going on a magical trip I dreamed about ever since I was in high school. I managed to bullshit my way to jobs mainly by leaning on my past life experience, than the actual job description. I manage to stop being timid and short-coming through my writing and eventually to real-world situations. I have been able to document the ups and downs of the business venture I started a couple of years ago and the continuous pursuit to start another successful business. I have tried different activities and suppose hobbies to figure out what I liked. Through my words and actions I have found my passion and am taking steps to make it a reality.

Purpose of This Blog
The point of this blog is to tell my story through my actions and what I go through each and everyday in order to live the life I want to live. I will also tell the story of how I came about my passion and purpose, writing, and how I am taking steps to making this come true. I give all a chance to get to know who I am through my writings and I hope you take something away from what I write. I just want to give people a place where they can dream, see action, and then take action in their own lives. This is in a way, the present moment, is how I choose to change the world.

Please Contribute in Any Way
I don’t know what you want to hear, unless you post a comment or send an email. When I write I usually write whatever comes to my mind and feel what will possibly help me and others. Sometimes I tend to rant and fuss (going to do less of this now), but if I don’t know what yall want me to write about or are feeling in general I will write what I feel, in a constructive, witty, and in my own voice way. So please respond to my blog post or send me email on feed back.

My Life is a Journey, So is Yours!
While I go through my journey documented on this blog, I will also perform challenges that will push me to learn about the experience and myself. For instance, I learned so much about myself during the 2 weeks of no internet. I want to continue to see what is it I can do to hope strike a cord in my readers mind and to do something courageous for their own lives. As much as I know I am the center of attention on my website I want others to be the center of attention of their own lives, I know whatever I write isn’t always going to be life changing, but I do hope at least it is thought provoking and action oriented. I am going to push myself into providing content every single time for this very reason, I might slip up some and write a funny piece from time to time (we can’t have the fun, without funny). I have a couple of ideas I plan to achieve this crazy goal of making all of my post from this point on interesting and action-driven. During the years I have developed a creative side, but am going to need your help to give me ideas for future post and challenges.

I have given you a couple of reasons to read what I write. If you want to see my growth from the time I got out of college until now all you have to do is read past post (see if you can see the changes in my life). I know what my goals are and what I want to accomplish with this blog and my life, I don’t know what yall want to accomplish in your own lives, but I do hope I give yall the chance to find whatever it is you want out of life. I want people to keep reading what I write, say, and video record and if it pisses you off in any way let me know, I might even write a post about your concerns and questions. However, please do remember I am not sorry for what I write; I am only expressing myself the best way I know possible. But, then again, I can learn something from other’s varying opinions of the way I view and live my life. Furthermore, after talking to my best friend about the content I have put out recently, I will write when I feel like it. This equates to 1,2, or 3 times per week, I already write everyday, but this will give me time to write post that people can gravitate to and do something for themselves.

I’ll talk to you soon…

  1. Ekill well said. Believe me you have a life worth writing about. In fact I think you actually hold back, somewhat, in your writings. To move forward we sometimes have to look back and reference the past. You don’t even realize that you already have an insurmountable amount of stories and life lessons that if analyzed and reinterpretated now, in the present, have substantial meaning and can not only help others but also entertain them as well. I’ll explain soon. That’s what keeps them coming back my friend. More importantly your blog has inspired me to throw my chips in the blogosphere and see what becomes. We talked about writing and business ventures for quite some time but you actually took the first step which is action and for that I praise your efforts and will continue to do so supporting you in any way possible. With that attitude trust me you can’t lose keep it up bro y(our) day is coming. See you at the top!
